Having been informed about the diagnosis of MS, thousands of questions come up in every patient and their family members about treatment, possible outcomes, possibilities and risks. The whole life of the patient is re-evaluated, as this insidious disease can completely overwrite future plans. In this period, it is extremely important for patients to be able to ask the questions they are worried and concerned about, and to receive credible answers for such questions. The best forums for them are the local fellowships, where patients can meet people who have been through that shock physically and mentally, therefore can provide practical advice, tips, and encouragement for patients to get over touching the bottom.

It is important that patients be constantly be informed about the latest research results and medical approaches. That is why physician lecturers provide first-hand accounts of the happenings in their professional fields at the local and national events supported by MSMBA. Beside information related to treatments, lecturers are also requested to present lifestyle, life conduct and diet issues; they do not only provide lectures, but patients also have a chance to ask individual questions. There are still many misbeliefs and misapprehensions regarding certain therapies, vitamins, diet supplements, therefore it is important to ensure that patients could share their questions and potential concerns with professionals.

It is also important for the good operation of the Foundation to have precise information an actual applications, organizational obligations and opportunities. MSMBA won 9 computers by applying to a program of the Prime Minister’s Office, the PCs were provided for the local associations and clubs to be used. In the following year, the Foundation provided a number of trainings on IT and Internet studies, and also regularly financed the monthly Internet utilization fee for the local associations and clubs.
The quarterly magazine called ‘Sejtmag’ (Nucleus) established by MSMBA also serves to keep contact with the doctors and patients and to provide information; the magazine is published in every quarter since spring 2008, and through domestic and foreign news, reports, coverage and portraits related to SM patients, it tries to bring the world closer to the patients and strengthen the feeling of belonging to a community.
